all you heros

The people walk valiantly down the street

Into the rays of the morning sunshine

And they think of themselves as warriors

Or peasants, the ruling or the oppressed

They walk into the myths of themselves

With each step they add to their cloak of armor

Or they pull their rags about them

Or they adjust their royal decorations

Each one of them in a different story

Each one fighting armies or dragons

Or healing the wounded on the endless battlefield.

Who are you as you walk into the morning rays

Into your life, touching the myths of others?

You must remember that you are your own hero

And that nothing is ever lost, no dragon is too strong,

No dungeon can hold you, no king is your ruler.

Look at all you heroes, an endless glinting parade

Of strength and beauty and toil, on into the morning.
